Igor Guz
Born January 11, 1982 in Lutsk, Volyn region.
He graduated from Volyn State University Ukrainian speciality “Political science”.
He started his public activity in 1998.
1998-2000 – Member of All-Ukrainian Assosiation “Trident” named after Stepan Bandera.
2000 – one of the initiators of recovery in Lutsk Plast – National Scout Organization of Ukraine.
Since 2001 – Head of Volyn department of The Youth Nationalist Congress.
2001 – Coordinator of the Volyn department of Public Resistance Committee “For Truth”. He participated in the events of March 9th in Kiev, was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest.
Since 2001 – Coordinator of the Volyn department of the Youth Coalition “Our Ukraine”.
2002 – 2006 – Member of the City Council, coordinator of the fraction of “Our Ukraine” in the City Council.
2002 – 2004 – Deputy Head of the All-Ukrainian public organization The Youth Nationalist Congress.
Since January 29th, 2005 – Chairman of All-Ukrainian youth public organization “National Alliance”.
He took part in civil demonstration “Chernobyl way – 2005” in Minsk, and was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest; later he was deported from Belarus and was not allowed to enter this country for 5 years.
2006 – 2010 – Delegate in Volyn Regional Council. Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth, Sports and Tourism.
2007-2011 – Advisor to the Mayor of Lutsk on assigned basis, Head of the Family and Youth Department of Lutsk City Council.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Festival of Ukrainian spirit “Bandershtat.”
In 2010, he was elected to Volyn Regional Council, winning in single-seat district Nr 27 (Stara Vyzhva County). He is now the member of the Standing Committee on Budget, Finance and price forming policy in the Regional Council.
He was awarded by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “For Outstanding Achievements of Youth in Development of Ukraine”.
Chairman of the parliamentary faction of a political party “Front of Changes” in Volyn regional council.
Chief electoral headquarters of the political party “Front of Changes” in Volyn region.
Married.
